THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT – CHINESE LANTERNS (LIVE ACOUSTIC)
The temperance movement – a really stupid concept. Because while drinking is seldom the solution to a problem, not drinking is also not the solution.
Also: The Temperance Movement – a bloody brilliant band from the UK, one of my favourite musical finds of the past ten year and, with their self-titled debut album, one of my favourite debut albums ever.
‘Chinese Lanterns’ is actually off said album. One of so many pearls. It’s really such a consistently good album from start to finish.
The band around Phil ‘Not The One From Motörhead’ Campbell is now into their third album (‘A Deeper Cut’, which is once again a step up from the just-above-average second album ‘White Bear’) and has gone slight changes in the lineup. But still going strong. And one hell of a live band.
