KILL IT KID – I’LL BE THE FIRST

Good news, bad news time here on NMTB. Good news: The video above. Obviously. Bad news: About a year or two after I had discovered the British blues-rock formation Kill It Kid for myself and they were fast becoming one of my favourite bands, they disbanded. More good news: NMTB is here to give you some of the old Kill It Kid stuff every now and then.

Even more good news: The two musical masterminds behind Kill It Kid, the now-husband-and-wife team of Chris Turpin (vocals, guitar) and Stephanie Ward (vocals, keys) are still making music together, now under the new moniker Ida Mae. First couple of singles already out. Debut album still to come. Music videos will very much show up on NMTB as well.

For now, though, enjoy the raw energy of what used to be a band called Kill It Kid.
