Easily, and I mean EASILY, my favourite music discovery of the past year – the collective around Brad Hammonds known as Brass Against. Especially when the insanely talented Sophia Urista is on vocals, like in the ‘Guerilla Radio‘ cover above (which, in turn, is almost as easily my favourite track by Brass Against so far).

This isn’t your regular marching band. This brass band kicks you where you need to be kicked. And this vocalist smacks you where you need to be smacked. Hard. How do you make protest songs by Rage Against The Machine even better? This is how. This is music to start and win a revolution with.
