Even if it is not the official first entry in the series, ‘Ana Sings‘ simply has to start with a little homage – in honour of one of the greatest misheard lyrics of all times. We are, of course, talking about episode 1 of season 3 of the ever so popular sitcom ‘Friends‘, titled ‘The One with the Princess Leia Fantasy‘.

While discussing the most romantic songs with Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer), Lisa Kudrow’s lovable weirdo Phoebe Buffay actually (mis)quotes the song’s lyrics as ‘hold me close, young Tony Danza‘. Apparently, our own lovable weirdo Ana hears slightly different lyrics here. But then you haven’t heard what she makes of Elton John’s ‘lay me down in sheets of linen‘.
